CBD Location Sunny Warm Free off Street Parking

Positive: The location was great and within walking distance to the town centre. Negative: We had a loud industrial whirring noise all night and initially thought it was construction outside as you could hear it from street level. The next morning, the noise continued and thought it might have been coming from the neighbour upstairs. We went upstairs to complain but they were equally as confused. Turns out there was a ‘fan’ switch in the living room that needed to be turned on in order for the noise to disappear. I’m not sure if this is a regular thing in NZ as I’m not local but I wish it was made known in the manual or when contacting the host for assistance. I felt that the host wasn’t overly helpful in this situation. I was travelling with senior aged parents who were quite upset about the noise as they couldn’t sleep at night which soured our experience overall. Check-in instructions given were clear but a photo of the car park entrance would have also been helpful.

The apartment was sparkling clean. Very attractive and pleasant, close to everything. Great stay.
